This easy less then an hour recipe will take you to the mall days at home! 

1 1/4 cups warm water

4 tsp yeast

1 tsp sugar

Place in bowl and bloom yeast for 10 minutes

Add to mixing bowl:

5 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

 1 tbls oil

 1/2 tsp salt 

Knead for 7 minutes

Let rise for 1 hour


10 minutes before shaping, place a pot of hot water with 2 tbls honey or molasses. Let boil.

Roll out 12 pieces of dough and shape.

Preheat oven to 230c

Add 4 tsp of baking soda to boiling water and shut off pot.

Slowly lower the pretzels into the water and let sit for 60 seconds.

Place on baking tray.

Egg wash then sprinkle on kosher salt.

Bake for 8-12 minutes

Serve warm!
